How many bags can I take on board?
On both a package holiday and a flight-only, you can take one piece of hand baggage.
How big can bags be?
On both package and flight-only bookings, 55x40x20cm.
And how heavy?
On package holidays, usually up to 5kg. Note that on some holidays you’re allowed 7kg – this will be clearly shown on your booking if it applies. You must be able to lift your hand luggage into the overhead storage compartments yourself.
On flight-only tickets, you’re allowed 5kg, unless you are travelling in Premium Club, in which case the allowance is 7kg.
Any other items – laptops, duty free, wedding dresses?
Things like laptops, handbags and items bought at the airport must fit within your one piece of hand baggage on both ticket types.
You can bring a Trunki case as hand luggage, as long as it weighs less than 5kg. If taking a Trunki, you should also be a child. That’s not a rule; it’s just to stop you looking ridiculous.
Your wedding dress counts as one piece of hand luggage. Thomson has a partnership with Life Memories Box Company, whose products are in line with hand baggage size restrictions.
