BA unveils new Edinburgh lounge

British Airways has opened a new £1.5 million Galleries lounge at Edinburgh airport.

The new 730sqm facility is nearly twice the size of the carrier's previous lounge at the airport, with seating for up to 200 guests.

The lounge features new-style reception "pods", a bistro and coffee area, a free bar, a business centre, free wifi with the ability to print from mobile devices using "air printing", and individual work booths, which BA syas have been introduced "following customer feedback".

The lounges joins BA's recently-opened facility at Glasgow airport, and the carrier's refurbished Aberdeen lounge, and co-incides with BA's decision to increase the number of daily flights it operates between London City and Edinburgh from eight to ten.
